We wrapped up Spring Candidate Orientation and GO! Conference last week. We were blessed with a wonderful group of candidates and newly appointed missionaries.

Karla and Jim Gutel lead the School of Ministry in the Southern California (SoCal) district. With a passion for training, Karla strives to equip people for their calling to ministry. Currently, over one-quarter of California’s population are immigrants. The SoCal Network has a goal to reach communities by planting new churches that will reach Southern California and reflect its diverse population. “We want to help launch ministers into the harvest field. I am continually amazed by the work of God’s kingdom. If you want to influence, impact, inspire, and change the world in God’s power, please join us!”

AUGUSTIN & CINDY
JORQUEZ

Augustin and Cindy minister to members of various Native American tribes in the state of Nevada. Together, they encounter people living with substance abuse, spiritual barrenness, and hostility. “We are here to break down barriers and build relationships with the Native Americans...” As friendships are formed and trust is built, they are able to share their faith and impact the community around them. Augustin and Cindy lead Bible studies, community events and outreaches, and lead prayer services for those living on the reservation.
